June 1998: Burner gathering on Stansbury Island.
Burned a rope outline of the man.

June 1999: First Utah Regional Burn held in the West Utah
Desert at the Sun Tunnels Environmental art installation.
Built a 20’ Man which was burned at the conclusion of the event.
Visited nearby rabbit springs.
Enjoyed a play by local troupe ‘Street Legal Theatre’
and musical performance by local group ‘Listen.’
Around 70 people in attendance.
June 2000: Second annual Utah Regional Burn at the Sun
Tunnels.
Built and burned a 15’ man.
Performances by Street Legal Theatre, and local
musicians.
‘Listen’ performs prior to the burn.
80 people in attendance.
June 2001: Third annual Synorgy held at the Sun
Tunnels for the final time.
Build a 15’ tall man and 10’ woman who where burned at
the conclusion of the event.
Another performance by local favorites ‘Street Legal
Theatre’.
Went for a dip in rabbit springs.
Performances by three local bands, but I can’t remember the names.
90 People attended.
August 2002. Fourth annual Utah Regional Burn
originally scheduled for July later postponed to the
first weekend of August.
We held our ‘nonburn’ on private property near the
Bonneville salt flats.
Built a 15 foot ‘WoMan’ one side male and one side
female. Could not burn the sculpture due to a state wide burn ban.
This was the first year we had larger scale art installations.
Performance by local band ‘Listen.’
120 People in attendance.
October 2002: First Utah Regional Decompression party.
Held at Trasa Urban Art Gallery.
Several bands and some art to boot.
December 2002: First Winter Solstice Burn.
Burned the ‘WoMan’ built for the previous synergy.
Performance by San Francisco band ‘F-Space’.
First appearance by Clive Schwank’s Champagne Ballroom
and Karaoke lounge.
60 people in attendance.
June 2003: Fifth annual Synergy held once again at
Bonneville SeaBase.
First themed event. ‘Alice’s adventures in Scuba Land.’
Burned a 25’ rabbit sculpture.
6’ Tall Piñata’ totem pole burns after the bunny.
Alice in Wonderland themed play performed by street
legal theatre.
First year we had several large theme camps.
Derek Deyer’s ‘World Largest Disco Ball’ hung from a
crane to great acclaim from all participants.

October 2003: Second Annual Utah Regional
Decompression.
Held at Trasa Urban Art’s gallery.
Performances by several local bands and DJ’s
Fire Sculpture featured outside
December 2003: Second annual Winter Solstice burn.
Build a 12’ sun sculpture to burn.
Repo Man’s free range wicker pet ranch made an
appearance.
Karaoke was enjoyed by all.
80 people in attendance.
June 2004: Sixth annual Utah Regional Burn held at
Bonneville Seabase.
Theme was the children’s game ‘CandyLand.’
The Pyromid burned on Friday evening.
Built and burned a 30’ Gingerbread man.
Club Delicious and Fire Muse circus makes their debut
at Synorgy.
Street Legal Theatre and fashion show performed on the
Whale Bone stage.
Appearance by Charlie Smith’s Tunnel of Transformation
at the event courtesy of a generous grant by the Black
Rock Arts Foundation.
Multiple theme camps and art installations.
320 people in attendance.
October 2004: Third annual Utah Regional
Decompression.
Held at the Orbit café.
We enjoyed the musical stylings of a local DJ, finger
foods and a slide show of previous events.
Local poi troupe spins fire in the parking lot.
December 2004: Third annual Winter Solstice Burn.
Built and burned a Pueblo Native American sun which
was 18’ tall.
The Clive Schwank Karaoke crew built and burned a
wooden temple
Chuck of Arabia builds a house structure the same day
as the event, and burned it a few hours later.
50 People in attendance.
June 2005: Seventh Annual Utah Regional Burn.
This year’s theme was Peter Pan’s ‘NeverLand’.
Built and burned a 20’ version of Neverland Island.
Performance by LA band and BRC favorites ‘The
Mutaytor’.
‘Caged Tinker Bell Exposed’ sculpture of Tinkerbell as
a caged dancer burns Friday night.
Multiple theme camps and art installations, including
the Tinker bell Teahouse and ‘Strait on till morning’
dance club.
500 people in attendance.
October 2005
4 Annual Utah Regional Decompression Party.
Held at the Orbit Cafe.
Art Display by members of the Utah Burn Community.
Outdoor art installation by Jordan 10-E.
Two Terrific DJs and a Poi performance by the Incindiary Circus.
125 people in attendance.

Fourth Annual Winter Solstice Burn.
Built and burned a 16' tall Three Dimensional sun.
Feature the Burn Hive by Auntie M and a cool Spire sculpture built and burned by Wanderlust Steve.

8th Annual Utah Regional Burn.
Changed the name of the event to Element 11.
This year's theme was 'The Wasteland.'
Built a 33' tall oil tower which was burned on Saturday night.
Amazing Preburn show with 60+ participants.
Wasteland Reform School burn took place on Friday night.
Moneky Pod Tree built and burned by Pimpsyrup.
Giant Hand Sculpture built and burned by Fritz.
Temple of Seized and Wasted Opportunities burned Sunday morning at dawn.

Held in a warehouse in North Salt Lake.
DJs and Sound system provided by CofEA
Hope and Fear Interactive Sculpture art piece.
Barbitar art piece was a carnival style fortune telling machine.

This year's theme was 'The Emerald City.'
Bobby / Kara and Crew built a 30' tall stylized version of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz.
Terrific preburn show with over 30' participants.
The Tower of Babel / Babble Burns Friday night.
The Tornadoes.. Sculpture built and burned Saturday at dusk by Trona Fairie.
Perfomances from Tasi and Nocturnal Safari.
The Temple of 13 Monkeys was built out of wooden Amo boxes and burned at dawn on Sunday.

Built and burned 18' sun sculpture dedicated to the planet Saturn.
Burned Sagan's Birthday Cake, and sculptures by Andy, Chuck of Arabia and Jacob/Leigh.
Finished off first batch of ammo boxes at SeaBase in Chuck's fire.
