Everything you ever wanted to know!!!
Wednesday, 22 April 2009

Greetings Utah Burn community members,

Creating, hosting and pulling off our events takes a high level of communication, sometimes you may wonder where to get information or you may wonder what certain sites were created for, so I created this information email for you. How we like to communicate is as unique as our community members, so we have many sources for you to sign up with or gather information from depending on your preferences and the level of information that you desire. Some are hosted by RCs and some are hosted by community members.

Here is a list of many Utah Burn related sites, please add your favorites to your bookmarks and visit them often for up to date information and community networking.

For up to date information about E11 events, visit our community website at:

www.element11.org

Please bookmark it, this is to become the main place to post detailed E11 information, I will send you content updates through the lists when new information is posted.

For Beyond the Zion Curtain (Utah Regional Camp at BM 2009) info and networking, please join our Ning network site at:

http://beyondzion.ning.com

Email List Sources:

This list is "announce-only" and is limited to posts regarding Burning Man (Utah and beyond) related topics and is not for general discussion.

Yahoo list ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) is for community announcements and discussion. You can post non-burn emails to this list if they are of interest to the community. It is also for posting discussion and concerns. RCs:
Please note: the RCs are not the lead in any area, community members are expected to step up and take lead. During planning and on-playa RCs will act as communicators, managers and backup to leads in their areas. RCs will also secure insurance, permits and event space. Also on playa each RC will take a 24-hour shift each for managing incidences. Ranger Spice and Honey will also have a 24-hour shift each for ranger duties. We are trying to share the work and responsibility load so no one reaches burn out by taking on too much, we also want our events to be community created and not RC dictated. There is still much need for volunteers, Chris Cline is the volunteer coordinator, please contact her to help with E11 or other events.
