Greetings Burners,

We want to share an important update with our community.

Currently, Box Elder County is still under a fire ban. This means that, at this time, we are unable to burn the Effigy or the Temple. Both of these burns are weather-dependent, and we’re waiting for conditions to improve with more moisture in the area before the ban can be lifted.

Once the county lifts the fire ban, we will be ready to move forward with the burns. We are working closely with Stargazer Ranch, since our official authority to host activities on the property is limited to Element 11. This coordination ensures that everything is done safely, legally, and in alignment with the property owners. When it’s time to burn, our goal is to involve the community as much and  as we safely can. Above all, we’re committed to doing what’s right for the community.

It’s also important to note: this will not be a Decompression event. Decompression gatherings are organized by the Burning Man Regional Contacts, not Element 11. Our focus is on honoring the Effigy and Temple in the right way, when the timing and conditions allow.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we await nature’s contribution. As soon as we have updates, we’ll share them with you.
